Violet I. Banks Brown, of Baltimore Avenue, West Pittston, died Friday at the home.
Born in Bristol, England, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Eva Rose Hobbs Banks.
She graduated from West Pittston High School.
Before retiring she was employed as a secretary for the Pennsylvania Department of the Aging.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, West Pittston, and the West Pittston Women's Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L. Daniel Brown in 1987.
Surviving are her brother, Robert W. Banks, Falls Church, Va.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, West Pittston, with the Rev. Robert J. Herrala officiating.
Interment will be in the West Pittston Cemetery.
