Doris was reputed to be a skilled bridge player and made numerous friends playing the game. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City, Georgia. Near her life's end, she moved to be with family in Houston, Texas. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Doris MacMillan Lewis died there in Houston.
