He was a 1942 graduate of Academy High School. He retired from the Erie Office of American General Insurance Co. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and enjoyed a few summers singing with the Regional Choir at Chautauqua, N.Y.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Vivian, one uncle, Harold Laws, and a step-granddaughter, Lindsay Ruth Moore.
Robert is survived by one son, Bruce R. Gingrich and his wife Cecily, one daughter, Barbara E. Moore and her husband Carl, and a step-grandson, Timothy C. Moore, all of Millcreek, and a good friend, Virginia Boucher
