Then he met Mary Louise Esselman in 1945. They got to know each other for about a month and Grover asked for her hand in marriage. They were married in the late year of 1945. He surrendered his life to the ministry and later had three girls Nancy, Debra, and Cathy. He has worked hard preaching about salvation to others. He was an evangelic preacher who preached in over 130 churches, different races, and many denominations. They moved from place to place going where God called them to go and he finally decided to settle down in Shelby County. He sold cars and was a fishing guide at the "Fishing Capital of the World" Toledo Bend. He even helped out some professional fishermen find the best spots to fish. Years later even though he was retired, he still preached the gospil until his illness. He loved his family and loved fishing. In the later part of his life he chose Center, Shelby, Texas as his home where he later fell to illness and passed away on 21 May 2001. In all his time he has made an impact on everyone whom he has met. Most of all he is now in Heaven preparing for all of us to come home and be with God, Jesus, and Him.
