Mrs. Davis was welcomed into the arms of her Lord on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born April 17, 1921 in Harvard, IL, she lived in Kirtland for the past 59 years.
She was an active member of Mentor Baptist Church, singing as a soloist and in the choir with her family. She loved to read, write letters to her family and extended family, and was loved by people around the world. Her gentle smile, generous heart, and exceptionally loving hugs will be remembered and missed.
Mrs. Davis worked in the composing room at the News-Herald in Willoughby for 44 years, retiring in 2008.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert T. Davis, Sr.; children, Robert T. Davis, Jr. of Kirtland, Doris (James) Benins of Danville, Gail (Anthony) Mangeri of Hiram and Patricia (Charles) LaNasa of Streetsboro; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and brother, George Palmer of Haines City, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Doris (Hammond) Palmer.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Church. Final resting place will be in South Kirtland Cemetery following the service on Tuesday.
