Velma Joyce Butler, 94, of Glasgow, Ky., died Monday, June 11, 2001 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Newt and Letha Spradlin Hurt. She was the widow of Fred Butler. She is survived by special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Harlow, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Funeral Home with burial in the New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
