Lois (Sant) Bachman and Larry Dean Bachman

"A Legacy of True Love"

Lois and Larry peacefully passed away at their Clearfield, Utah home on Friday, 31 August 2018.

Larry Dean Bachman was born in Ogden, Utah on Monday, 10 September 1934, to Walter C. and Vivien Iverson (Monson) Bachman.

Lois (Sant) Bachman was born in Treasurton, Idaho on Saturday, 18 March 1933, to Orsen Clifford and Cloie Leona (Conlin) Sant. She was the third of their six children, and had two elder sisters and four younger brothers.

Following their graduation from Ogden High School, Lois attended LDS Business College while Larry served as a missionary in the Finland Helsinki Mission. They met up again in Ogden after his return from Finland and, a few months later, married in Anchorage, Alaska on 1 November 1960, where Larry had been stationed.

Larry had joined the Air Force which took him and Lois and their children all over Europe and the 'States during his twenty years of service. After Alaska, they lived in England for eight of those years. The family of four loved seeing the sights and experiencing the different cultures and people.

After his retirement from the military, the family settled in Clearfield, Utah. It was 1977. Larry next went to work at McKay-Dee Hospital where he spent the next twenty years as a Duty Engineer. In his spare time, Larry loved to tinker and fix things. He enjoyed working on his Volvos and remodeling their home.

Larry freely shared his many talents, willingly helped wherever possible and got a kick out of teaching.

Larry also loved "getting a deal", telling jokes and he always had a comeback for every remark! And being "more better" was his usual description of how things were.

Lois was a devoted wife and mother. Though she had served in various callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, most of her time was spent working in the Relief Society.

Lois loved flowers and liked to work in her garden. She even had her own flower shop for a few years where she created many floral arrangements and did silk flowers for many weddings.

When she wasn't working, Lois could be found doing word search puzzles and devouring all kinds of books.

Larry and Lois Larry and Lois lived for each other. In fact, the couple was so devoted to each other that they even left this world on the same day, within four hours of the other! Theirs was a real-life love story.

Larry and Lois were predeceased by their parents, Larry's brother, X and Lois's siblings, Naydene Miller, Clureen Clingman, Murray Sant, and Blaine Sant.

Left to cherish their memory are Larry's and Lois's children, DeOnna Braunberger and Kim (Mandy) Bachman; Larry's sisters, Ruth Reading, Susie Bailey-Thompson and Velayne Davis; Lois's brother, Dennis Sant; along with their five grandchildren, Dedra, Kaylee, Kylee, Sara, and Tristan.

The Bachman family appreciates the kindnesses of Blaine McDonald, Lacie, Carsen, Cierra, and Terrance, whose love and care of Larry and Lois allowed them to remain in their home together. Appreciation is also sent to the hospice staff at Envision and Encompass.
