Clifford Butterworth
      Butterworth, Jr., Clifford M., 76, of Meridian, died Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his home. A viewing will be held on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Accent Funeral Home, 1303 N. Main St., Meridian. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Central Valley Baptist Church, 600 N. Ten Mile Rd., Meridian with burial at 1:00 PM at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.
      Clifford M. Butterworth, went home to be with his Savior peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on September 2, 2018 in Meridian, Idaho at the age of 76.
      Cliff is survived by his wife Maureen Butterworth; sons: Tim and his wife Deann, Shiloh and his wife Lindsey, Dale and his wife Tabi, and Paul; and grandchildren: Courtney, Austin, and Cade.
      Cliff was born on July 7, 1942 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to Clifford M. Butterworth and Edna Troyer. He graduated from Cleveland High School in Portland, Oregon and went straight into the military service (Air Force) and was sent to Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, after completing a Non-Morse Intercept Operator course at Goodfellow AFGB in Texas. He also played football on the Clark Base travel team. He married Maureen L. Butterworth June 29, 1974 in Portland, Oregon.
      God made him a fisherman; he loved fly fishing and loved to share his knowledge with others. He spent 13+ years coaching football, basketball, baseball, and hockey. Most of his coaching was for the Boys and Girls Club. He had a special way of building confidence in his players and making sure they always stayed positive and happy. Cliff had a passion for talking to anybody and everybody. He especially enjoyed speaking with Veterans.
