Adam Shafer Barney, 28, of Chicago, formerly of Wilmette, suddenly March 18, 2007. Loving son of Alan and Carol Ross Barney; cherished brother of Ross and John Barney; dear nephew of Susan (Bob) Wojcik, Nancy Ross (Phil Dodson), Mary (Randy) Lage, Peggy (Brent) Bierbaum, Mark, Michael (Jenny) and Martin (Susan) Ross and Michael, Steve (Sue) and Jill Barney; fond cousin of many. Adam was a 1996 Graduate of New Trier High School where he played volleyball and he attended Columbia College in Chicago for four years studying broadcast journalism, He was an excellent diver and found great enjoyment in scuba diving. Adam was the manager of Midtown Grill in Chicago and previously managed and help open Koi Restaurant in Evanston. Visitation Tues., 5 – 9 p.m. and Wed., 3 – 8 p.m. at Wm. H. Scott Funeral Home, 1100 Greenleaf Ave., Wilmette. Friends and family will meet at St. Francis Xavier Church, 9th & Linden Sts., Wilmette, Thurs., March 22nd for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.
