Barbara Ann Suszek, 71, of Alpena passed away peacefully while at her home in Ossineke on Thursday, August 30, 2018.

Barbara Baker was born on December 23, 1946 in Alpena to the late John J. and Thelma (Black) Baker. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Gene Suszek. Barb worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse, retiring from Tendercare in 2008. She was a member of Ossineke United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, and Grand Cross. Barb enjoyed painting including rocks and shale, and going to craft shows.

Surviving are her two children, Mary Horn, James (Michelle) Horn; grandchildren, Brennen, Bradley, Samantha; brother, Tom (Linda) Baker; nephews and nieces, John T. (Katherine) Baker, Jennifer Baker, Gregory Baker; and many other relatives and friends.

Barb was preceded in death by her brother, John A. Baker.

Per her wishes, Barb will be cremated. A celebration of her life will be held at the Ossineke Methodist Church at a date to be determined. Arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
