Darren DeMar Evensen, 54, left us peacefully on Friday, 24 August 2018 at his Woods Cross, Utah home.

Darren was born on 31 December 1963 to DeMar and Dalene (Mann) Evensen. He graduated from Jordan High School where he played football and helped take the team to the state championship games.

He took great pride in any work he did no matter how simple or hard the task. He enjoyed learning about the Indians from Utah and the surrounding areas. This allowed him to do one of his favorite things, arrowhead hunting and looking at rock art. He enjoyed this so much that he attended the University of Utah to become an anthropologist.

Darren was a daredevil and wanted to try everything at least once. He truly was a man of nine lives, as he would tell everyone around him.

He enjoyed activities like extreme skiing, rock climbing, gardening, hunting with his father and brothers, fishing with his family and friends; and spending time with his grandsons. Because of his love of the outdoors, Darren also became involved in the Wilderness Watch organization.

Darren made friends easily and was always willing to help those around him. He was his own person; no one could tell him what to do or how to do it, it was just going to be his way. He was a kind loving soul who loved his family and friends. He was always concerned with the needs of those whom he loved. He made an effort to always be in touch with his family whether they were far or near and would check on them often. If they ever needed his help, he would go out of his way to make it happen, no questions asked.

Left to cherish his memory are Darren's wife, Elisa; their daughters, Ashley (Brad) Elam and Nichole Forsland; grandsons, Hadden Rotz, Rorrik Elam and Taven Forsland-Clos. Also surviving are Darren's mother, Dalene Mann Evensen and his siblings, Jeff (Cindy) Evensen, Terrie (Bob) Andrews, Marcie Johnson, Loni (Christy) Evensen, and Cody Evensen; along with many nieces and nephews. Darren was proceeded in death by his father, Demar Evensen.

Viewings were held from 6 to 8 P.M., on Tuesday, 28 August 2018 at Russon Brothers' Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M., on Wednesday, 29 August in the Bountiful 12th Ward LDS building, 1450 South 350 West, where funeral services will begin at 11 A.M., followed by interment in the Bountiful City Cemetery and a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, 1 September at Darren's home in Woods Cross.
