OCONOMOWOC -- Betty Lou Radtke (nee Hulke) went to be with the Lord on Friday, 24 August 2018, surrounded by family at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.
Daughter of Irvin and Elvira Hulke, Betty was born on 26 January 1930, in Elgin, Illinois. In 1949, she was called to teach in a two-room schoolhouse at St. John's Lutheran in Ashippun. There she met her husband and they were married on 25 June 1950. She was a faithful member, teacher and servant at St. John's for nearly 70 years.
Betty's greatest joy was her family. She was mother to six children. She is also survived by her loving husband, Gilbert, and her sister.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ashippun, N1245 St. John's Way, Oconomowoc, with the Rev. Gary Tillmann presiding. Betty desires a service of joy and celebration of her being in heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Monday at St. John's. Burial will be at the church cemetery following the service and a lunch will be served at the church.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Ashippun; St. Paul's Lutheran School, Oconomowoc; or AngelsGrace Hospice.
