Joyce Louise (Strahan) Ackley, age 69, died on Sunday, August 26, 2018, at her home in Mineral Wells, Texas. She was born on May 29, 1949, to Sergeant Wilford and Lola (Gibson) Strahan in Fort Ord, California. She was the second oldest out of four children, with Greg Loraus being her caring partner to the end.
Joyce loved Elvis, teddy bears, and the Dallas Cowboys! She also enjoyed making handcrafted items for her family and friends. She attended Duncanville High School, where she was a part of the class of '68. She had been battling cancer for several years, but she continued to live life with a smile. Joyce was greeted in Heaven by her "Momma", Lola Strahan and nephew, Chris Strahan.
