MERIDEN, Conn. - Thomas Abel, 66, of 21 Quarry Ln., died at Connecticut Hospice in Branford following a lengthy illness. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he was educated in Wallingford schools. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He had been employed in the roofing business for the past 40 years, working for the former Daly Co. of Wallingford and the Premier Roofing Co. of West Haven until his retirement a year ago.
Spouse - Francine Shoneck Abel.
Sons - Thomas Abel of Derby and Robert Abel of Hartford.
Daughter - Roberta Evtachek of Manchester.
Stepdaughter - Rosemarie Green of Meriden.
