Eagleville, MO – Rex Dale Alley, 97, Eagleville, died Friday, February 16, 2007 at North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City, MO.
Born July 8, 1909 in Bethany, MO, the son of Elanson M. "Squire" Jr. and Jennie May (Salmon) Alley. On July 21, 1934, he married Thelma Maxine Campbell. She preceded him in death on January 13, 2000.
He also was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Russell Alley; a sister Alpha Maize and a daughter Janet Joann who died at age 3 in 1940 of Leukemia.
Rex was a graduate of Bethany High School. He lived and worked on a farm north of Eagleville. He raised cattle and hay and various crops and always had a large vegetable garden. He also worked off the farm. He graduated from Rolla School of Mines in Rolla, MO. He worked for North American Aviation and Ford Aircraft, building World War II Era Bombers. He then worked at Benson Manufacturing as a Tool and Die Maker for fifteen years.
He was a member of the Otterbein Evangelical United Brethen Church for many years and was a member of the Eagleville Christian Church at the time of his death.
