After 20 years service as president of the Bethany Savings
Bank, Eld. John S. Allen retired, and his place is taken by H.A. Moulton, who will no doubt fill the position acceptably to all.

First Christian Church of Bethany, Missouri. Completed in 1872 & built by John Seahorn Allen, it's first minister. The Brick Church cost $7000 to build & was 40X70 feet. It was heated by an external coal house on the far east side.
