Mary Gillenwater, 92, of Macomb passed away at 10:14 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the Jefferson House in Macomb.

She was born on November 14, 1925 in Rushville to Edward and Menta Howard Emerick. She married Charles R. Gillenwater on September 30, 1944 in Mt. Sterling. He passed away on July 28, 1980.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sarah Leverton; a grandson, Eric Harber; three brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca (Michael) Harber of Sanford, Florida; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mary lived most of her life in the Macomb, Rushville, Mt. Sterling and Peoria areas. She was a member of the Colchester Methodist Church. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Pastor Jim Clayton will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb. There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be made to the McDonough County Cancer Fund.
