Service Held In Nixon For Mrs. Pruett
Funeral service were held Tuesday at 4 p.m. from the Finch chapel in Nixon for Mrs. Mayme Katherine Pruett, who died in Baptist Hospital in San Antonio at 1:45 a.m. Monday.
The Rev. W. J. Ballard, pastor of the Nixon Baptist church officiated at the service with burial following in the Nixon City cemetery.
Mrs. Pruett was born in Pilgrim on March 8, 1916 the daughter of James Leonard and Virginia Mae McConn. She was married to Marvin C. Pruett on October 6, 1933.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Delores Witten of San Antonio; Mrs. Betty Jean Mercier of Victoria; four brothers. Zill of Nixon, Courtney an Dago, both of Smiley, and Clint Piland of San Antonio; two sisters, Mrs.Inez Lawhn, Point Comfort, Mrs. Lena Bishop of Smiley; and five grandchildren.
