Death Of Sherrod B. Martin
Died-At the home of his father at Leesville, Wednesday lafternoon about six o'clock. Sherrod B. Martin, a young business man of this city. He had been quite sick for a few weeks with typhoid fever was taken to his fathers residence, and while it was known that he was quite sick his death came as a great shock to his numerous relatives and friends here.
He was an industrious and capable young man and was just beginning to make a success. The business world.
Besides a devoted wife and two children, he leaves a host of relatives in this section. He was raised at Leesville and moved to Nixon about four years ago. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon at five o'clock and interment was made in the new Nixon cemetery. The funeral was under the auspices of the Woodmen of the World and the Praetorians, of which orders the deceased was a member. Rev. W.L. Barr conducted services at the grave.
The relatives, and especially the wife and children, have the sympathy of this entire section-Nixon News
