Lois Lynn Haines, 87, of Kingston, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018, at home after an extended illness.

Born in Berwick, Nov. 7, 1930, she was the daughter of the late George and Kathryn Yost Lynn.

She was a graduate of Berwick Area High School, Class of 1948. For several years, she was secretary for Berwick Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA).

She was a long time member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Kingston and a member of their Congregational Council, Chairwoman of Christian Education, a Sunday school teacher, director of the children's Christmas program, secretary of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA), and a counter.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Don, in 1993; and sister, Lola Kline, in 2013.

Surviving are her son and caretaker, Russell, at home; brother-in-law, John Kline, Stillwater; sisters-in-law, Doris Belles, Berwick, and Connie Baxter, Prospect, Ky.; nephews, George Kline and wife, Laurie, Stillwater; and Rick Belles and wife, Cathy, Berwick; Chuck Baxter and wife, Robyn, Ky.; Matthew Baxter and wife, Angelica, Ky.; nieces, Kathryn Kline, Athens; Randee Linsinbigler, Berwick; and Jan Laubach and husband, Dick, Berwick; and Traci Baxter, Ky.; aunt and uncle, Dottie and Jack Yost, Berwick.

Funeral services will be held on at 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 813 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, with the Rev. Paul Wetzloff, her pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery Annex, Walnut Street, Berwick.
