Howard passed away peacefully Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the Wishek Community Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was 83 years. old.
Howard Leo Kaseman, son of Edward and Christina (Schilling) Kaseman was born March 21, 1935 at rural Wishek, ND. Howard attended rural school SW of Wishek. Howard entered the Army in 1957. He served in Germany and was Honorably discharged in 1959. He then returned to the family farm, where he farmed with his father until he met and married Violette Schock. They took over the family farm and worked side by side until 2007 when they retired and moved into Wishek. Howard was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, he was also one of the men who helped build the church. Howard served on the Board of Directors for Royal Farms for 12 years, director of the Wishek Rural Fire department and was a member of the American Legion at Wishek, ND. Howard had a love for the land and the outdoors. He loved to fish. Gardening was one of his pastimes that he enjoyed. He was also a very good craftsman and enjoyed making wood projects. He loved spending time with his 6 grandsons and 2 great-grand daughters.
Howard is survived by his wife, Violette, his children, Bruce (June) Kaseman, Michael (Mirta) Kaseman and Melissa (Nathan) Wolf; six grandsons, Kristopher (Amber) Kaseman, Corey (Jasmyne) Ulmer, Jared (Brook) Kaseman, Lane, Hunter and Seth Wolf; two great-granddaughters, Riley and Blake Ulmer and honorary grandson, Jace Schilling. He is preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Edward Schock, mother-in-law Rosina Schock, brother, Art Kaseman, sister, Leona, sisters-in-law, Alice Kaseman, Lorrain Kaseman, Gertrude Kaseman and brother-in-law, Gordon Anderson.
