Services today for Woosdon Pioneer
Funeral services were to be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Woodson High School Gymnasium for Mrs. Laura Hurford, 77, pioneer resident of the Woodson Community since 1930. She had been in declining health almost two years. Her husband, Thomas J. Hurford passed away in November 1947. She had lived with a daughter, Mrs. E. T. Stoker the past year.
Rev. W. V. Bane, pastor of the Methodist Church will officiate at the service. Mrs. Hurford is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Bertie Lipps and Mrs. E. T. Stoker, Woodson, Mrs. Dollie Condron, Throckmorton, and Mrs. Edward Dyer, Marlow, Oklahoma, and two sons, Jimmie and Bill Hurford of Woodson. There are 25 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Interment will be in the Hurford Cemetery on the Boyd Ranch.
Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be Monroe, Aubrey, George, and Garland Stoker, James Lipps, and Rayford Mathews.
