Dorothy Mae Alexander, 79, of Aurora passed away August 25, 2018 in Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. She was born to George and Alma Hyder Napier on November 9, 1938.

Survivors include two sons: Elbert Alexander and wife, Julie, of Springfield, Missouri and Howard Alexander and wife, Sherri, of Aurora, Missouri; five daughters: Shirley Branham, of Aurora, Missouri; Sharon Jones and husband, Randy, of Mountain Home, Arkansas; Doris Gilmore and husband, Joe, of Aurora, Missouri; Betty Pointer and husband, Nathan, of Aurora, Missouri; and Donna Hyde and husband, Matt, of Pierce City, Missouri; one brother, Bill Napier, and wife, Shirley, of Ozark, Missouri; 34 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elbert; five brothers: Otis, Olin, Howard, Elbert Eugene, and Jim Napier; three sisters: Betty Davis, Geneva Johnson, and Golda Napier; and one great-grandson, Austin Foster.

Funeral services Tuesday, August 28 at 12:00 p.m. in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora, Missouri.
