Ocie (Nanny) Cauley,AGE 101 died Sept.14, 2003 at the home of her daughter in Brunswick Ga. after a brief illness. A native of Appling County she had lived most of her life in Bacon County Ga.The last five years she lived with her daughters in Brunswick. Mrs. Cauley was a member of Pine Level Free will Baptist Church.She was the daughter of the late James Manning Medders and Ella Agnes Crosby Medders.


Miss Ocie was one of a kind,she was a sweet heart of a lady,At the time of her passing she was 101 years and 3 months,and was loved by everyone that come in contact with her. She loved God and believed in prayer.Mrs. Cauley was preceded in death by her husband Grady Cauley,A daughter-in-law Ruby Lee Bagley Cauley and a great grand daughter Cheryl Leigh Boyd.. Her son Virgil Cauley has just passed away on April 30,2007.Ocie is Survived by son Alton Cauley of Baxley,daughters Vera Wheeler of Lawrenceburg Tn. and Betty Jean Henderson of Brunswick,Ga. Fifteen grand children,fourty two great grandchildren and fifteen great-great grand children, A hugh church family and friends that all miss her dearly.
