Dale Hollis Hansen, 81, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. A private family service and burial will be held at the Masonic Cemetery in Dallas Center, Iowa.

Dale was born on November 6, 1932 in Dallas County, Iowa to Karl and Anna (Swartz) Hansen. He graduated from Dallas Center High School. He married Valrie Hartong on December 17, 1960. Dale was employed with Martin Marietta Materials. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korea War. He enjoyed shooting, fishing, and outdoor activities.

Dale will be missed by his wife of 53 years, Valrie Hansen of Corning, IA; three sons David Hansen of Garner, IA, Russell Hansen of New Brunsful, TX, and Harold (Dianne) Hansen of Corning, IA; two grandchildren, Anthony (Amanda) Donahoo and Christopher (Ashley) Donahoo; and three great grandchildren, Chloe, Bentley, and Kinsey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Anna Hansen and his two brothers, Fred and Perry.
