Jean Diane Edwards
Jean Diane Edwards, 78, of Livermore, Ca, peacefully passed away on August 7, 2018, following a yearlong fight with cancer.
Jean was born to Frank and Mary Lopez on January 12, 1940 in Albany, Ca. She Graduated from El Cerrito High School in 1957. She moved to Livermore with her husband and children in 1983.
She leaves behind her older brother Frank, 2 daughters Tami (Tom) and Shirley (Branton). She also leaves behind 7 cherished grandchildren; Jennifer (Brian), Kimberley (Donovan), Heather, Jimmie, Elisabeth, Rebekah and Leroy (Christie), as well as her 7 Great-Grandchildren. All remember her as selfless, caring, loving and a little on the wild side.
She was preceded in death by her parents (Frank and Mary), brother (Joe) and her husband (James).
Jean retired as a teller from Bank of America after 15 years of service. She loved riding on the back of her husband’s Harley and traveling around the U.S. but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They always brought a smile to her face and warmth to her heart. She will be greatly missed.
A rosary is planned for Friday August 24th from the hours of 5-7pm as well as a funeral on Saturday August 25th at 10 am at Callahan Mortuary 3833 East Ave. followed by burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Livermore. Please join us after to reminisce about Jeans amazing life, and some light refreshments at 4444 East Ave. in the Palo Verde room.
