Abel S. Force, age 21, was mustered into Company G of the 1st Pennsylvania Reserve on June 6, 1861 as a Private. He was killed at Gettysburg, Pa. on July 3, 1863. His memorial reads, "Force Abel, S. son of William and Martha Force who fell in defense of his country at the Battle of Gettysburg, Pa. July 3, 1863 age 21. Volunteers______"∼Residence: Phoenixville,PA
