Grace is survived by her three children; two daughters; Christine Susan Galloway and husband James Galloway of Belmont, North Carolina and Lynne Cooper; one son: John Gamble of Salisbury, North Carolina; two brothers: William Barnes and Earl Barnes; five sisters: Shirley Cote, Betty Sue Gamble, Ruth Morcus, Elizabeth Hall and Sandra Jekubovich; six grandchildren: Lisa Espinoza, Alexander Espinoza and wife Neva, Brian Gamble, Jesse Cooper, Joshua Cooper and Jacob Cooper; two great grandchildren: John Espinoza, Charlotte Espinoza; multiple nieces and nephews also survive.
Grace was the daughter of the late Wiley Barnes and Lennie Frazier Barnes. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, John Gamble who passed away in 1982, one sister and two brothers.
A Life Well Celebrated Ceremony will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday ~ August 23, 2018 in the Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina with Reverend Dennis Harper delivering words of comfort to Grace's family and friends.
Graveside and committal service will follow in the Garden of Time Garden at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 New Hope Road, Gastonia, North Carolina.
The family will receive guests from 11:30 AM ~ 1:00 PM prior to the service.
