Joseph Arthur Seabolt, born June 1, 1883 Georgia, died Dec 17,1908 Ada, Pontotoc Co., Oklahoma. He was a son of Wilson Celley Seabolt & Martha Perthina Spillars and husband to Deanie A. Day Callahan. He had one son Joseph 'Arthur' Seabolt. 'Arthur" Seabolt was shot and killed by Felix Grundy Callahan, who was the father-in-law. Deanie Callahan Seabolt had an allottment near Roff Oklahoma, on which Felix G. Callahan had lived. He moved and the Seabolts' moved back in, as they had previously lived elsewhere. Callahan came armed and caught Arthur coming out of the corn crib door with an arm load of corn. Callahan shot him and he fell to the ground and there Callahan emptied the gun into Seabolts' already prostrate body.
