Annie Gail Harris, 56, of Rydal died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at her residence. Born January 1, 1954, she was a native of Bartow County and was the daughter of Mattie Lou Fortenberry Welchel and the late William Frank Welchel.
Gail attended New Canaan Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling. Prior to her illness she was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.
Survivors include her husband, J. Mar Harris of Rydal; her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Christy Smith of Cartersville; her daughter, Rebecca Smith Martin and her husband, Mike, of Rome; her brothers, Lamar Welchel and Bill Welchel; her sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Gentry, Mary and Carl Worthington, and Elizabeth Henson; six grandchildren, Brittany Wheeler, Landon Smith, Brandon Smith, Austin Colston, Bailey Metcalf, and Carson Metcalf; and five step-children, Donald Harris and his wife, Brandi, Marty Harris and his wife, Pam, Tina Williams, Chris Harris, and Clinton Harris.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 15, 2010 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
