Geneva Jane George, age 96, of Kent, OH (formerly of Russell County) passed away at the home of her daughter in Kent, OH. She was the daughter of the late Laura Bell Coffey Holder and the late Stanton Holder. She was a homemaker, and member of the Russell Springs, Main Street Church of God.
She was survived by 1 daughter, Shirley (Ron) Holland of Kent, OH, 9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews survive.
She is preceded in death by 3 daughters, Reba Holder, Lillian Burgess, Regina George, 2 sons, Hoover and Olif George, a brother: Alonzo Holder, 7 sisters: Mumzelle Helm, Hulda George, Ava Coffey, Alpha Higginbothom, Laura Blair, Mary Wade, and Flora Harris.
Services were held Sunday, October 31 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Smith and Bro. Chester Hatton officiating. She is buried in the concord [sic] Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ron Holland, rim [sic] Shearer, Johnny Smith, Richie Adcock, Janna Johnson, and Ray George.
