Benjamin Franklin Langford was the sixth child and fourth son of William Hemphill Langford and Elizabeth Fitzpatrick. "Ben" married Louisa Jane Brown at Summerfield, Clairborne Parish, La. on 21 Jan 1870. The Langford brothers purchased land in Clairborne Parish, La. in 1871 for farming. They all then settled in Stephens COunty,Texas by 1900. "Ben"and "Lou" had 8 children and raise one infant girl of his brothers who's wife died in child birth. Ben died 17 Nov 1921 at age of 78 from traumatic pneumonia and laid to rest by his neighbors.
