It is with great sadness that the family of Lloyd C. Bodden, Jr. announces his passing on August 14, 2018, at home, after a brief illness at age 68.
Lloyd was born in Jacksonville, FL on May 7, 1950 to Cleve and Amanda Bodden. He grew up here in Jacksonville, graduated from Englewood High School and later USF (Tampa) with a degree in Psychology. There he met and later married his wife Susan. His career included working for Jacksonville Ship Yards, a local Moving and Storage Co., Florida State Employment Office, and as a customer service representative for a local paper company before his retirement.

Lloyd loved surfing, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, some highlights being surf trips to Costa Rica, Mexico, and California with his son. He also enjoyed many get togethers and reunion celebrations around Florida with extended family.

Lloyd was predeceased by his parents Cleve and Amanda Bodden. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of almost 46 years, Susan, their son Christopher, sisters; JoAnn Cumbie (Fred) and Angela Hallenbeck (Gary), as well as extended family.

Lloyd's family would like to thank all the amazing people who advised and shared in his care including Chelsea and the Community Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeast Florida Beaches Team.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeast Florida or to one's favorite charity.

Casual dress and Hawaiian shirts are encouraged at the graveside gathering on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 am in Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32207, with a reception to follow in Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home.
