Rachel Thornburg daughter of Dempsey and Jane (Mills)Thornburg married at West River Meeting House 10-21-1847.Six children were born to Wilson and Rachel.Three died young.Susan eight years,Mary Jane infant.It has been said that Irena Thornburg Dennis who married Lindsey Dennis cared for the baby Mary Jane after Rachel died.The baby lived 17 days after the death of Rachel January 17,1857,Susan lived four years after her Mothers death.Rachel lies in Nettle Creek cemetery with Susan on one side and Mary Jane on the other.
