Ellen Smith Hull

Ellen Ann Smith Hull, 78, died at home in Pascagoula on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. A native of Frederick, Maryland, she was a graduate of Johns Hopkins University. She was a nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital where she served as nursing supervisor. Mrs. Hull was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Parish and was active in the pro-life movement. She was a member and past president of the Pilgrimage Garden Club and the Medical Alliance. She was also a member of the Anola Club and the Duchess de Chaumont Chapter, DAR, as well as a number of bridge clubs.
Mrs. Hull is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dr. Edgar Warren Hull, four children—Deven Hull (Catherine), Clinton Hull (Kandace), Ann (Clinton) Edwards, and Alice (Matt) Lachaussee; by 10 grandchildren (to whom she was known as Mama Ellen)—Mallory Grace and Gabriel Hull; Adelaide, Eloise, and Rosalie Hull; Mallory Page, James, and Mary Ellen Edwards; and Evelyn and Philip Lachaussee; a sister-in-law, Alice Louise Hull Maier; and by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Sacred Heart Church, Pascagoula, on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 11:00am-1:00pm followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00pm. Inurnment will conclude services at Krebs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Resurrection Catholic School, 520 Watts Avenue, Pascagoula, Mississippi 39567.
