Obituary

Philip B. Caton, a well known resident of Phillipsburg, where he was born and resided all his life, died at 5 o'clock last evening at his home, 292 Sitgreaves street, the result of an attack of paralysis suffered on Monday. During the 77 years of residence here, Mr. Caton made many friends, and the greater part of his life was spent in the employ of the Warren Foundry & Machine Company. He was retired on April 1 of this year.

Deceased is survived by three children, P.J. Caton, Mrs. Thomas Kelly and Miss Sue Caton, of Phillipsburg; a brother, Michael, of Butte City, Mont., and a sister, Mrs. Bridget Lilly, of Phillipsburg. Deceased was a member of Sts. Phillip and James Catholic church; Phillipsburg Aerie of Eagles and Holy Name Society.

She was born on 26 October 1857, in Jersey City, Hudson, New Jersey, United States, her father, Patrick Sheehan, was 28 and her mother, Anastasia Cleary, was 24. She married Philip B Caton on 3 November 1877, in Phillipsburg, Warren, New Jersey, United States. She lived in Williams Township, Northampton, Pennsylvania, United States in 1860. She died on 31 January 1882, in Phillipsburg, Warren, New Jersey, United States, at the age of 24.
