Old age complications resulted in the death early Monday morning of Mrs. Fred Hansen. 84, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Art Graham, after a serious illness of a week.
The body was prepared for burial at Hahn's - funeral home, and services were held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Joseph's church with the Rev. A. J. Koeferl officiating. Burial was at St. Joseph's cemetery. The Christian Mothers and Altar society attended the rites in a body. Serving as pallbearers were Ed Donovan, Lawrence Burke, Frank Dunlap, Ray Kramer, H. O. Bernhardt arid. Roland Graham.

Mrs. Hansen, whose maiden name was Mary Barnhardt, • was born in Ahnapee township Waskaunee [Kewaunee] county, August 25, 1859, to Mr. arid Mrs. Frank Barnhardt. She was married Oct. 15, 1881, and the couple came* to Sturgeon Bay about 50 years ago. Mr. Hansen died in 1927.
Surviving are four children, Mrs.. (Hulda) Graham, " Sturgeon Bay Agnes, at home Mrs. Ed (Mae) Schneider, Milwaukee and Mrs. Art (Alma) Matheson, West-Allis, one brother, Peter Barnhardt, soldiers' home. Waupaca, and a sister, Mrs. Nettie Kulis [Kules], Milwaukee.
