Jesse Brown, age 77, of Hwy. 30 East, Jackson, KY passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, KY.
He was born December 22, 1940 at Noctor, KY and was the son of the late John W. and Thelma (Truesdell) Brown.
He was preceded also in death by his wife: Anna Vehnekamp Brown, two sisters: Edith Griffith and Phyllis Grimes, and one brother: Jack Brown.
Jesse was a licensed plumber and electrician and was the long time manager of Empire Gas Company in Jackson, KY.
He graduated from Breathitt High School in 1958.
He is survived by two daughters: Ellen of Lexington, KY and Katrina of White Plains, KY and one son: Jeff of Morgantown, KY-Six grandchildren. Two sisters: Sally of Louisville, KY and Faye ( of Alexandria, VA and a host of other relatives and friends.
A private memorial service and Celebration of Life will be observed by his family.

Note: Jesse was cremated and as per his wishes some of his ashes scattered in the Quicksand Creek near the John Brown farm where Jesse fished. Some of the ashes were buried and a Memorial Bench erected in the John Brown Cemetery by his children.
