SHIPMAN Zsalana Lynette Tucker, 50, died at 4:52 a.m. Sunday Aug. 10, 2014 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, Ill.
She was born Feb. 29, 1964 in New Gulf, Texas the daughter of Jerry Smith of Kennett, Mo. and Reta (Rogers) Smith of Gillespie. She married Bob Tucker on May 9, 1987, he survives.
Lynette was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves for six years and was self-employed as a produce stand operator in Macoupin County. Surviving is a daughter; Jennifer Tucker of Fillmore, Ill., a son; Shane Tucker and his wife Kandi of Fillmore, Ill. a brother; Mark Smith and his wife Jackie of Wood River, Ill., a sister Beverly Day and her husband Dennis of Grafton, Ill. and two grandchildren William and Hannah Tucker.
Preceded in death is a brother; Keith Smith and a sister; Venus Tangherlini.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday Aug. 13, 2014 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton with Pastor Ralph "Bo" Schultz officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John's Stroke Hospital Stroke Center in Springfield, Ill.
