Bruce Bliss Allen, 59, died Wednesday in Reno.
Born Aug 3, 1911 in Utah, Mr. Allen was a retired Navy Lieutenant Commander. He came to Reno one year ago from California and lived at the E. D. R. Ranch.
Survivors include his wife Bessie (Bessie Cordelia Hunton), of Palo Alto, CA. , sisters Mignon Holfert, Washington D C. and Ruby Robbins , Utah, and brothers Eldon Allen, Utah and Lorin of Wisconsin.
A private funeral will be held at O'Brien Rogers and Crosby Mortuary followed by cremation at Mountain View Crematory.

** NOTE: In his mother's family history, she lists that his wife was Betty Hunton Allen who died on June 29, 1952. They married on Oct 9, 1934, place unknown.

He was a navy pilot on the east coast. He was educated at Granite High school and the United States dirigible school, Lakehurst, N. J. He was a former crew member of the Akron and Macon, giant dirigibles later destroyed. Photo of he and his 4 brothers is included but it is rather dark.
