Elizabeth "Betty" J. (Bullard) (Kainz) Contreras, 73 of Griggsville passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born September 19, 1944 to the late Alex and Jeanette Ciszewski Bullard. She married Robert H. "Bob" Kainz on June 6, 1964 and he preceded her in death. She then married Mike Contreras on August 16, 2008 and would have celebrated 10 years of marriage. He survives at home.
Also surviving are her children, John (Bina) Kainz, Steve (Jean) Kainz, Tim (Tracy) Kainz and Joshua (Kristin) Kainz, her grandchildren Adam, Stephanie, Breeanna, Brandon, Carolyn, Dante, her great grandson Zayden, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents and siblings, JoAnne Bielet, Dolores Wozgard, Ray and Donnie Bullard.
Betty graduated from Chicago Schools. She was last employed and retired from Liberty Village in Pittsfield. Betty was known for her love of her children, grandchildren and great grandson. She loved to spoil them when they were young, always having a special bag of candy. Bob and Betty retired to Griggsville, and then Mike and Betty continued to make Griggsville their little piece of heaven.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday August 13, 2018 at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Chapel in Griggsville.
Burial will be in Griggsville Cemetery.
A visitation and celebration of her life will be held on Sunday at the funeral chapel from 4 until 8 pm and again Monday from 10 until the time of the service.
Memorials can be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
