Mary Jo was born in Scott, Arkansas and lived her entire life around Bevis Corner. She attended Scott schools where she met the love of her life, William Bevis. She was a room mother and PTA member for her boys in the Lonoke School System. She was a lifelong member of All Souls Church in Scott. She served as President of the Board, President of Ladies Aide and was a member of Needle & Thimble Club. She founded and taught the Mary Jo Bevis Kirkholm Sunday School class for over 40 years. She was a teaching leader for bible study fellowship for over 25 years in England, Ark. Mary Jo was an active member in the Cosmopolitan Club of England, AR for many years.
Visitation will be Friday, August 10th from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the home of Bob and Liz Bevis, 2677 Bevis Road, Lonoke, Ark. A celebration of Mary Jo's life will be Saturday, August 11th at 10 a.m. at All Souls Church, 4601 Walkers Corner Road, Scott, Ark. with a reception to follow in Fellowship Hall. Dr Ben Jordan will officiate the service. Memorials can be made to All Souls Church, Scott, Ark.
