Ruth J. Horelica passed away suddenly on 8/18/13 at the age of 88 in her Greatwood Home in Sugar Land.

Born 10/12/24 in Beasley, Texas she is survived by her husband Marvin Lee Horelica of 63 years, Son Marvin Charles Horelica and wife Sherrlyn, Daughter Debbie Maniscalco and husband Vincent, and son Travis Horelica and wife Jeri, Sister Ella Mae White, Eight Grandchildren and Nine Great-grandchildren.

Ruth battled for years with a disease known as Celiac Sprue with a very positive and upbeat attitude. She had a profound and loving relationship with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, bringing life and laughter to everyone that were blessed to know her. She was also a very avid bridge and domino player with her many family members and friends.

A gathering of Ruth family and friends will be held on 8/25/13 from 3 - 5 pm at the Sugar Land Mortuary, 281-277-1818. In lieu of flowers, Ruth's wishes were that contributions be made in her name to Houston Celiac Support Group-Chapter 25, 13722 Ashley Run, Houston, TX 77077;
