James ‘Jim’ Glover, age 70 of Calhoun, passed away at 9:10 p.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2018. He died peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family.
A private burial service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded.
Jim was born on March 2, 1948, in Olney to Floyd and Anna Lee (Jennings) Glover. He later married Carolyn Sue (Harrolle) Glover on June 4, 1966 in Olney.
Jim proudly worked for the City of Olney before retiring in 2010. He loved caring for his turkeys and pigeons, watching westerns and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jim was greatly loved and loved greatly in return. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and everyone who knew him.
Jim is survived by his wife, Sue Glover; sons, James Glover and wife, Shelly and Jeffrey Glover and wife, Pamela; grandchildren, Kenneth Glover and wife, Danielle, Mariah Glover, Katherine Glover and Julia Glover; great-grandchildren, Elliott Glover, Gemma Glover, Kalvin Glover and Nala Glover; and sisters, Brenda (Glover) Matherly and Mitzi (Glover) Long.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Anna Lee Glover and his sister, Linda (Glover) Auldridge and Jody (Glover) Grayling.
