Thelma Schmidt, 94, Lincoln, passed away Friday (4/23/04). Born, Dwight (2/15/10), to Harry and Laura (Burge) Edwards. Married Lawrence Schmidt, Aug. 1, 1933. Founder, A-1 Refrigeration. Volunteer: Back to the Bible; Bryan Hospital; Tabitha; Library for the Blind. Member: Grace Community Church; former active member in the Presbyterian Church for 20 years, taught Sunday school for both adults and children; Christian Women's Clubs.

Survivors: sons, daughters-in-law, Loren and Mary Schmidt, Lincoln, Alan and Pauline Schmidt, Malcolm; daughter, son-in-law, Alisanne Schmidt-Ells and Mark Ells, Lincoln; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two nieces; two nephews. Preceded in death by: parents; husband; brother, Floyd.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Eastmont Towers, 6315 O St. Pastor Bob Chitwood. Inurnment: 12:30 p.m. Monday, Lincoln Memorial Park (meet at Gate 2).
