He was born November 12, 1943 in Hot Springs to the late William Jerden & Mable Clara (Avant) Edwards. Michael was a veteran of the Arkansas Army National Guard, a member of the VFW, a former employee of Coy’s Steak House and National Rejectors, before becoming a self-employed mechanic.

He is preceded in death by a son Michael Jerden Edwards; sisters Martha Young and Clara Howard; and brothers Bill Edwards and Robert Edwards.

Survivors include his children Deanna Campbell (Chris) and Elayna Magee; brothers Charles Edwards and Jimmy Edwards; sister Margaret Bennett; grandchildren Josh Fowler (Lacie), Seth Burris (Christina), Miranda Hartman (Austin, Sr.), Sara Magee, Stewart Magee II and Haylee Campbell; and great-grandchildren Trey Fowler, Austin Hartman, Jr., Dyaln Johnson and Katelynn Johnson. Pallbearers are Mike Howard, Chris Campbell, Billy Stell, Seth Burris, Austin Hartman, Sr, and Stewart Magee II.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday at Gross Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Morning Star Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jackson House at, Community Crisis Intervention Service, Inc. Eleanor Klugh Jackson House 705 Malvern Avenue, Hot Springs, AR 71901.
