He was married to Dorothy Williamson.

Mr. Marvin Harper Jr. was born February 9, 1925 at
Steele, Missouri and died July 26, 1999 at the Baptist
Memorial Hospital in Osceola, Arkansas at the age of 74.

He was the son of the late Marvin H. and Minnie Brooks
Harper of Steele, Missouri.

He retired from the Corps of Engineers, Memphis Division
and served his country during World War II as a
paratrooper in the U. S. Army.

He was a member of the Snow Lake Baptist Church.

He is survived by the following:

Wife - Dorothy Williamson Harper of Cooter, Missouri

Two Sons - Marvin Harper III of Mountain View, Arkansas
David Harper of Elaine, Arkansas
Daughter - Anise Rushing of Cooter, Missouri

Three Brothers - Frank Harper of Hot Springs, Arkansas
Reginald Harper of Indianapolis, Indiana
Bobby Harper of Nashville, Tennessee

Sister - Mrs. Ruth Harper Toohey of Vallejo, California

9 Grandchildren
9 Great-grandchildren
Many nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Harper, L.
M. Harper and a sister Mrs. Kathleen Boroughs.

Graveside services were held Thursday July 29, 1999 at the
Mt. Zion Cemetery at 2:00PM with Reverend Rick
Brothers officiating.
