Ronnie Atkins, age 65 of Bean Station, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018, at his residence. He was saved and a faithful member of Community Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed by Norris Homes for 26 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents John D. and Cleo Atkins, and sister Edna Wolfe.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Robin Atkins; son Lucas (Miranda) Atkins; grandchildren Blake Atkins and expectant grandchild; step-granddaughter Megan Holdway; sisters Jeanette (Gwyn) Kelley, Pauline (Danny) Cornett; brother Stanley Atkins; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at Community Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Bean Station, with the Revs. Terry Dalton and James Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in Jarnagin Cemetery in Thorn Hill.
