She had resided most of her life in Duluth. She had worked at Klearflax Linen Looms as a tafter, MMC and Northshore Manufacturing as a surger.
Catherine was a member of the former Good Shepherd Catholic Church, where she had run bingo for several years; and St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church and West Duluth Senior Center. She will be remembered as Grandma Jago to everyone. She loved baking and bingo. Catherine's family was her whole life. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank in 1985; a son, Raymond in 1963; and brothers Victor and Sylvester.
Catherine is survived by her sons: Donald (Darlene), and James (Julie); daughters: June (Rudy) Lauri, Elizabeth (Clarence) Levine, Carol Strauss, and Karen (John) Balaich; sisters: Lydia Tamel, Antoniette Bean, Isabell Kaminski, and Delores (Oscar) Brothen; 15 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Burial in Oneota Cemetery.
