VONDRAK, RUSSELL ANTHONY 47, of Jacksonville, NC died Monday, August 1, 2005 at Craven Regional Medical Center in New Bern.
Russell is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Grace Ellen Vondrak. He is the proud father of Jennifer Vondrak-Ellington, her husband William and their son, Ryan Anthony. His two sons include Brian and Jeremy. Survivors also include his mother, Theresa Vondrak of Cotati and his siblings Dianna Aranda and her husband, Alejos; Sharon Stoneburner and her husband Gary; Roger Vondrak; Arnold Vondrak and his wife Julie; Gloria Dunbar and her husband Jeff; and Mary Gourley.
Predeceased by his father, Harold Vondrak and two brothers Frank Vondrak and Rodney Vondrak.
Russell will be deeply missed by the children he inspired and mentored on the soccer fields, volleyball courts and softball fields throughout North Carolina and Virginia. To his officiating peers of sports, family, friends and co-workers, his laughter and friendship will be missed.
Friends and family are invited to meet on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 150 St. Joseph Way, Cotati, CA 94931 where at 10:00 A.M. a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA. The family prefers contributions be made to the Rodney Vondrak Memorial Fund, 849 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA 94952 or to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Russell's name.
